Psst, ask me anything
Hi, I’m Amy Li · Technical Program Manager

I ship releasesacross teams, with AI.

I’m a program manager with 4+ years shipping cross-functional releases in games, from Unreal Engine 5.2.1 and 5.3.1 at Epic Games to daily LiveOps at Cat Daddy Games. I’m self-taught in code and AI-native in how I work, and I want to bring both to a team building generative AI.

Live Op Specialist

Cat Daddy Games · Kirkland, WA

  • Spearheaded end‐to‐end LiveOps D2C webstore and art workflows: site setup, asset creation management via Jira, web entry implementation, QA testing, debugging, scheduled deployment, and post‐release verification, ensuring consistent on‐time launches that doubled YoY D2C revenue; achieved $148K in single‐day D2C sales (16.9% of off‐season revenue), the highest in the title’s history
  • Architected a Google Apps Script and REST API automation ecosystem (8 scripts), built using Gemini and GitHub Copilot, bridging Email, Jira, and Localization: covering pack spec parsing, 10‐language localization, CMS import generation, and auto‐creating Dropbox folders and Jira tickets; reduced manual D2C operational workload by ~60%
  • Vibe‐coded a “Push to DLC” feature into the team’s internal localization tool, replacing a 10‐minute manual copy‐paste process with a single button click; saved ~1 hour every two weeks and was adopted as a standard tool for my LiveOps team
  • Set and hit an OKR of 20% D2C revenue share through consistent on‐time campaign delivery, community engagement enhancements, and new branded features (e.g. the Hot Streak Spinner)
  • Triage and diagnose live production incidents on NBA 2K Mobile, a daily‐release live title, driving root cause identification through fix deployment and notifying the right stakeholders in real time; document incident duration, impact, and preventive action items to close out roughly one incident a month without repeat occurrences
  • Independently drove collectible events by creating a Jira‐based release playbook with checklists, timelines, and logic flows; established reusable LiveOps templates that streamlined future Replay events and improved JSON editing efficiency
  • Engineered a streamlined card creation pipeline via root‐cause analysis and flowchart mapping of process pain points; implemented new QA test cases with clear documentation, reducing production card data errors by 60%

Release Manager · Release Coordinator

Epic Games · Bellevue, WA

  • Drove cross‐functional release readiness by managing milestones across 10+ technical departments and escalating risks while aligning stakeholders across QA, Marketing, Documentation, and Localization, ensuring high‐quality delivery to millions of developers worldwide
  • Automated daily burndown tracking by integrating Jira with Google Sheets via Workato, eliminating manual entry and creating a scalable reporting dashboard later adopted department‐wide, saving 25+ hours of administrative work annually
  • Developed advanced JQL queries and Jira Rich Filters to analyze a backlog of 5,000+ items, surfacing backlog “debt” so leadership could prioritize critical path items; captured and cleared 200+ stale tickets, enforcing database hygiene and establishing new issue‐tracking governance
  • Shipped Unreal Engine 5.2.1 and 5.3.1 globally, partnering with QA, build, and engineering teams to deliver stable, error‐free builds across multiple operating systems and device configurations
  • Employed Google Sheets to visualize post‐release data for 10 departments by timeframe, enabling future iteration and upward communication

How I got here

From making games to orchestrating them

Chapter 1 of 5

I wanted to do everything.

I loved art, music and writing stories, and I dreamed of putting them all together. Games were the one medium that could hold every one of them, so that is where I went.

Why generative AI
I want to work on generative AI because it helps people like me create in ways that were impossible before.

One of my hobbies is making fun animations of alternative endings to anime I love, which I couldn’t have imagined doing a couple of years ago. The future holds so much possibility, and I want to help build the technological backbone that lets more people’s creativity soar, in whatever modality that is.

How I use AI at work and at home

At work

Automations I built for my team
Work · Vibe-coded

The D2C automation ecosystem

D2C launches meant copying pack specs between email, Jira, localization and the CMS by hand. I built eight Google Apps Scripts and REST API hooks with Gemini and GitHub Copilot that parse specs, localize into 10 languages, generate CMS imports, and open the Dropbox folders and Jira tickets automatically.

Push to DLC

Pushing localized text to DLC was a 10-minute copy-paste job. I vibe-coded a “Push to DLC” app with its own GUI, integrated into the team’s existing internal localization tool, that does it in one click. It became a standard tool for my LiveOps team.

Image upload script

A Python script that bulk-uploads images and runs compression, plugged into the existing CMS automation to further streamline the web pack creation pipeline. It checks dimensions, verifies file types, and organizes and renames folders, so last-minute pivots stay free of human error.

GOT QUESTIONS?

Ask my familiar anything

This cat has read my résumé and everything on this page. It probably knows too much as all cat does. Ask about my experience, my projects, or how I’d approach a problem at your company.

This chat runs on Claude. I wrote its prompt the same way I build my other tools: give the model the facts, tell it what not to make up, and keep it small.

The FamiliarUsually answers in under ten seconds
Mrrp. I’m the familiar. Ask me about Amy’s releases, her AI projects, or how she runs a program.
